Role inside ISAAC
The City of Leipzig will be involved at all stages of the project development, facilitation liaison with local culture and tourism stakeholders in order to provide digital content to the ISAAC platform and advise the project on relevant policy issues.
Field of activities
Leipzig is a dynamic, forward-looking city that seizes opportunities and actively seeks out new challenges - partly in order to sharpen its profile in competition with other places.
Ever since German reunification more than 15 years ago, Leipzig has risen to the challenges and opportunities arising within the process of transformation. The city's activities have always been subordinated to the awareness that all measures geared towards it's future development need to be integrated into a far-reaching strategy, enabling today's decisions to be measured against the long-term results.
Cosmopolitanism is a trade mark of Leipzig: it is part of our tradition and our future.
Leipzig has developed at the crossroads of important trade routes as a centre of trade, culture, and sciences, and to this day, the city continues to function as a bridge between East and West. The citizens of Leipzig have always welcomed and cared for international connections and exchange and the city's atmosphere, its quality of living and its hospitality are vivid proof of the European and international focus of its citizens and institutions.
