News from the city of Leipzig, one of the three ISAAC city partners
Leipzig is a dynamic, cosmopolitan, forward-looking city at the crossroads of important trade routes with an historical role as a centre of trade, culture and sciences.

Two of Leipzig's Gründerzeit-era sites (a vital period for visual arts and architecture corresponding to the first decades after the foundation of the German Empire, in 1871) will soon have a new life.

Kristallpalast-Varieté, one of Europe's most famous Vaudeville theatres, will open up a new cultural venue inside the Kongresscentrum, an ancient club house with beautiful art-deco-interiors, one of the city's most remarkable Gründerzeit-buildings.

In Leipzig's historic craftsmen district, the Neustädter Markt, a new project will allow tourists and residents to experience how life was a century ago, by recreating the original Gründerzeit-flair atmosphere in historic buildings and shops of the district.

Are you ready for a great immersion in the History?
