Instructions


The DSS tool uses Google Documents, free open access software. There are two modes to using Google Docs: developer and user. Users don't need to register with Google Docs to enter data on a form, but anyone using the DSS tool will. The data then sits on the Google server.

To use:

  1. Register with Google Docs by clicking tab More in Menu bar when in Google and scrolling down to Documents.
  2. Type your email and a password.
    To do your own assessment click on the following button: LIVE FORM
    This takes you to the live form.
  3. Fill in the form.
    Steps:
    • Name your city or place you are making decisions about.
    • Define the objectives of your promotional strategy as they relate to the decisions about ITC investment.
    • Define 2 or 3 alternative strategies
    • Weight the 8 criteria we suggest you use to assess the alternative strategies. These are: function, design, ease of use, enjoyment, learning, content, recommendable and participation.
    • Assess how well you think each alternative works according to these criteria, from 1 poor to 5 very well.
    To see the result, click on the following button: ASSESSMENT RESULTS
    This takes you to the spreadsheet.
