Keynote speakers


Dr Roberto Albergoni

Secretary General of Herimed, Association for the documentation, preservation and enhancement of the Euro-Mediterranean Cultural Heritage.


Dr. Albergoni received his university degree (A. level) in "Economics Studies" from the University of Palermo.
From 1992 until 2004, he worked for different Italian companies as a consultant and trainer in several fields, such as professional training, tourism, research and innovation technology, e-business, internationalization, trading, business in the Arabic countries.
From 2000 to 2006 he worked as Deputy Director of Unimed (association of 70 Universities of the euro-med region). In this period he managed many activities in the field of Cultural Heritage and sustainable development.
Since 2004 he has been working to the set up of Herimed that was founded in March 2006.
Actually, Dr Albergoni is in charge of the Project Management of the following projects:
Euromed Heritage IV, Athena, Ancient THeatres Enhancement for New Actualities (Jordan, Italy, Algeria, Tunisia).
EC FP VII, Narpimed, Natural Risk Prevention in Mediterranean Countries, Italy, Spain, Greece, Algeria, Morocco.
ESF, LabCult, training and research in New Technologies for Culture, Sicily.

In 2008 he organized the following conferences:
An integrated approach to safeguard tangible and intangible heritage in the Mediterranean historical centre, Cairo, 14th of January 2008.
